Body Boarding
Not only is body boarding a fun activity it's also one that can be enjoyed individually or as a family, and without costing you a great deal of money! All need is a board, generally a piece of foam, and then the waves, then its all about riding the waves and staying on your board it sounds pretty easy hey!
As well being a fun activity to do on holiday in recent years body boarding has become known as a popular extreme sport with it being largely popular amongst the younger audiences. Body boarding is fairly similar to surfing; however where surfing requires you to stand in body boarding the aim is to remain lying flat on your board controlling your balance in order to make it over the waves, and to do so on your board!
When shopping for your own body board you will find that they come in different sizes, shapes and colours. Depending on your own size and shape this will affect the type of board that you should buy, for example the bigger frame you have the bigger board you will need, and this will therefore affect the price of the board as will the colour! If you are only interested in trying out body boarding for a day then you can hire out boards which tend to be on a daily or hourly rate, with shops along the beach front offering you this chance.
Body boarding is a pretty simple enough activity for you all to get involved in and the more your practice not only the better will you become but you will also discover your own individual style of boarding, this also means that you are less likely to need to pay for body boarding lessons, though if you want to these will no doubt be on offer to you along the beach front.
