Marmaris
Located on the southwest Mediterranean coast Marmaris is Turkey main tourist destination, as a result it brings in the largest tourism income for the country. Although is has long since changed from its past of a small fishing village Turkey is hugely popular to tourists for its beautiful scenery and traditional culture. With a fairly small population of 28,660 which reaches around 400,000 in the popular summer months Marmaris' nightlife soon becomes a lot livelier than its neighbours along the Turkish coast.
Turkey is also extremely popular for sailing as it has several marinas including two large major marinas which see boats travelling over to Rhodes and cruise ships pulling in at the port.
Turkey is also known for its high temperatures, often seeing a rise over 40 oC in the summer months between May to October, this often means that they experience several heat waves during these months. Where this can guarantee British holiday makers something England can't, a hot summer, some tend to find the heat a bit too much and instead choose to visit towards the end of October when the temperature has slightly cooled down.
Of late Marmaris has become increasing popular amongst the younger generations having heard about the busy nightlife. There are two main places to head in Marmaris at night and they are Bar Street and Beach Front. Bar Street is made up of a series of clubs which vary in styles music from up to date chart songs to the more classic dance floor hits to dance and niche music. Not only can you pick from a range of music but each club has their own special unique quality to offer you whether it be the very well known foam party that happens at 'Crazy Daisy' or whether it's a dance in 'Back Streets' pool thats located on their dance floor, Bar Street has it all to offer! Beach Front on the other hand allows to you sit and drink whilst looking out over the gorgeous sandy beaches of Marmaris but is still extremely lively and you will no doubt find yourself taking part in a lot of karaoke with the majority of the bar staff getting you up and singing along.
Which ever you choose you are guaranteed a good night out which wont end until the very early hours of the morning with most places not opening till 12 am and staying open until around 8am!!
